Man Tries to Electrocute Pregnant Wife

He was pretty mad.

A man jimmy rigged his front door in an effort to electrocute his estranged pregnant wife who had just left him recently, claim police.

Police were summoned to the home of Michael Scott Wilson, of Palm Coast, Florida, after relatives could not gain access to the home.

Police kicked the door in, leading to a large spark. They found burn marks around the door handle, with Wilson barricaded inside.

Wilson had set a “trap” with a lamp connected to the door in order to electrocute his estranged wife.

“This is one of the most bizarre domestic violence cases I have seen in my career,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “Not only did this man plan to electrocute his wife, but he could have injured a deputy, or any person attempting to enter this residence. Thankfully, this man was found and taken into custody before he could cause the harm he intended.”

He also allegedly changed his Facebook status to ‘widowed.’

Wilson was arrested in Knoxville and is being sent back to Florida where he will be held on $150,000 bail for attempted aggravated battery on a pregnant person and grand theft of a firearm.
