Man Robs Convenience Store With Fake Gun Made From Furniture Parts

That’s one way to recycle.

Jeffrey Derringer, 48, was arrested after robbing a Circle K in Akron, Ohio, which he often frequents.

He entered the gas station on Christmas carrying what at first appeared to be a shotgun, ordering everyone to get down while he forced an employee to hand over the contents of the cash register.

Another employee fled to the back and was able to call police.

The shotgun was actually fashioned from a pole, spring, and table legs tied together.

The employees in the store quickly realized the gun was a fake and tackled him with the help of 3 customers.

Police quickly located him in a nearby parking lot after he fled the scene. He is awaiting court in the county jail.
