Man Caught With Enough Fentanyl to Kill 10 Million People

That’s a lot of drugs.

New York police charged a man with trafficking enough Fentanyl to kill around 10 million people.

The Mexican drug kingpin, Francisco Quiroz-Zamora, was part of an elaborate trafficking ring moving Fentanyl to the U.S. Police are hopeful that they will be able to infiltrate the Sinaloa cartel with the new information.

“Gordo,” which he was known as, was charged with operating a major drug trafficking scheme, alongside first-degree sale of a controlled substance and second-degree conspiracy.

He was arrested along with five other suspect traffickers.

In total, the investigation pulled 44 pounds of Fentanyl of the streets.

Fentanyl is a powerful narcotic often prescribed to treat severe pain. Prince overdosed and died from Fentanyl.
