The spider is victorious.
We’ve all been there. Scary spider. Kill it by any means necessary!
One man in Redding, California took this to the extreme, using a blowtorch to try to exterminate a pesky spider in his apartment.
Unfortunately, he burned down him home while trying to get rid of the tiny pest.
“It was a huge wolf spider,” said Lyndsey Wisegarver, who works with another resident in the building. The spider was fairly large, but when trying to kill it with a flame, it caught the mattress on fire, which quickly spread to nearby curtains.
The fire spread to a closet, which then began to engulf the apartment. Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to other units.
No one was injured in the fire, but it did cause about $11,000 in damage.
