Drugged Driver Crashes into Second Floor of Building After Going Airborne

Not your everyday car crash.

A driver in Santa Ana, California hit a divider while driving at a high rate of speed, launching his vehicle in to the second floor of a dental office.

After the crash, he admitted to police that he had been using drugs.

At 5:30 am, the white Nissan Altima slammed into the building. “A vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed hit the center divider, went airborne and landed on the second floor of a small office building,” said Capt. Stephen Horner of the Orange County Fire Authority. “This is not a situation that happens every day.”

There were two passengers in the car. One managed to free himself after the crash, but the second had to be rescued. Both sustained serious injuries.

The car was removed with a crane following the crash.
